Painting is one of those things I forget that I hate if I haven’t done it in a while. When we found this end table, I thought it would be perfect for hiding my huge art books. It was in rough shape, but for $20 we thought it was worth a new coat (or five) of paint to try to bring it back to life.
Now, time for a beer.

Our new apartment that we spent the last month and a half (I’m not even kidding) cleaning, painting, and evicting spider families from is finally ready for us to move into. It has been so stressful dealing with this, especially on top of our busy schedules; but, it’s done, and we’re excited to decorate! Oh, did I mention that we get to sleep in a little fort that you need a ladder to get to? Ah!
Last month, I found out that I was going to be the Artist in Residence at Gallery 44 for Fall 2010. I am so excited about this residency, because I will receive support to make new work for the next two months. I will also have the opportunity to exhibit the work in December. I have one shoot scheduled so far, and meeting some potential new models tomorrow. I’m really nervous, but hopefully everything will work out! Fingers crossed.
