Painting is one of those things I forget that I hate if I haven’t done it in a while. When we found this end table, I thought it would be perfect for hiding my huge art books. It was in rough shape, but for $20 we thought it was worth a new coat (or five) of paint to try to bring it back to life.

Now, time for a beer.

We just spent a pretty penny on this antique barrister bookcase.
If you need us, we’ll be eating bread and butter for the rest of the year.

We found two vintage school chairs in our backyard. One was beyond repair, but the other just needed a fresh coat of paint, and voila! The basket for magazines is the best part. Or maybe the best part was that it was free?
